Weston Village Church
 It needs to be regenerated to make  the community better.
Local campaign – how does this place affect the area.
The church not being in use affects the area as it limits the things the younger generation can do. It also stops the religious people from going to church etc.
 Bringing the church back to life will bring the community together.
Media Form 1: Briefly outline.             your campaign ideas – name, slogan, audience, form etc
Our first media form is a 3-4 minute documentary. The audience is younger generation. Our slogan is 'Putting the We back  into Weston' The slogan will appear at the end of our documentary.
The documentary about an old man who has lived in the village all his life and we visit his past when the church was being used and how it is now. It will show the man being upset about how the church is not in use and will have flashbacks of him when he was younger and happy because the church was in use.

1Media Form 2: Briefly outline your campaign ideas – name, slogan, audience, form etc
Our second media form is 3 posters. For  mine the slogan will be clear and big across the middle on each of my poster. The audience for each poster will be for the younger audience. Each poster will include the slogan, house colours and logo. The target audience for my poster will be mainly younger genartation and they way i will target them will be by making my posters simple but eye catching and easy for the younger generation to understand.
My first poster will show pictures of activities that the church will have in each corner such as  with the slogan in the middle. My second poster will be a picture of the church in the middle and with the man when he was younger playing outside, with the church looking in good use, with the weather nice whereas the other side will be the old man looking upset, with everything looking negative for example rain.
My third poster will be a picture of the church clear in the middle with questions trying to persuade the community to get together.
How these 2 forms are integrated (vital for higher marks)
Intended target audience
Based on surveys our target will be mainly the younger generation. We think that the younger generation will be easier to target. 
Why this campaign suits them.
We feel like this campaign will benefit the younger generation more as they have no where to go so by us doing this campaign will interest them as it will give them an opportunity to get closer and give them the opportunities to do activities the enjoy at a local place.

After researching different campaigns we found out that not only are our target audience but the older generation as well. We think print and Tv is the best way to get our target audiences attention. Red and blue will be the house colors.

What are campaigns?
A campaign is a series of actions to get people involved or persuade them to do something. A campaign is to promote a product, to advertise across different media, publicize event, raise awareness of an issue, educate people and provide a public service.

Well known poster campaigns
 This is a Public Health campaign. It is to persuade to talk about problems with drugs. It aimed
towards teenagers. They have magazines adverts, tv adverts, leaflets and a website. To catch a teenagers eye the poster has a picture, which is in a cartoon style and the picture is of a young girl. The girl is in dark colours and shadowed which could represent her being scared of talking to someone about her drug problem.  It also has a picture of a weed leaf which is in a darker colour to the background which makes it stand out. The stickers in the corner are in a bright colour which stand out and they are the most positive picture which lightens up the poster. The writing at the top of the poster is bold and stands out compared to the rest of the writing. The number and website have been highlighted in black. The logo is on the poster to show what company it is. Below the logo in smaller font it gives advice. The background of the poster is a calm colour, it's not bright.
     This is a safety campaign. It is aimed towards people who ride a motorbike. It is to remind people who drive motorbikes to slow  down and remeber about things on the road. 'THINK' have adverts in magazines and tv. they also have leaflets and website. The target audience for this poster is for the older generation, the age where you are able to ride a motor bike. The poster includes their logo, which makes the people viewing the poster what company it is and 'think' is known for their safety awareness to people. The words at the bottom left of the poster stand out which is supposed to make the reader aware.

Getting people involved with the comminuty is important as it will bring the community together and it will keep the area clean and looking nice for the future generation and for people living there now. It shows that they are working together.




 
The method of promotion for this campaign is a poster. The intention of this poster is to make the public aware of the consequences if you drink and drive. The target audience for this poster is for the older generation, the people who are old enough to purchase alcohol and able to drive. The layout of the poster helps us understand who the target audience is as it has 4 bottles which is related to alcohol. The words above the bottle is clever as it has a double meaning even though they meant what is says on the bottle '12 month driving ban' etc you normally hear at a pub or a bar of someone buying the 'next round' of drinks. The layout of the poster is set in a bar, which links the whole drinking related awareness. The poster also includes the logo and website for the company at the bottom. 
 'THINK!' has many ways of advertising, another way is their website



 


The intention of this poster is to make the public aware of what can effect driving and how. It is to keep the public safe. The target audience for the website is mainly the older generation 20+ and parents. The layout of the poster has pictures from recent adverts. There are some features on the page is for children as it includes games for 6-11 age and parents. The options you can click on gives you more advice and information about how that certain thing effects driving. The top of the website 'THINK!' tells you about what their aim is. The website includes their logo.

The NSPCC campaign has many ways to get their word across for example
 This poster is to persuade people to give them money to help stop child abuse. The poster is for the older generation as it's presented in a very serious way. The picture of the child is to make the audience feel sympathy for this child and children getting abused. The poster is very simple but really eye catching as it's in black and white. 


 This is the website version of the NSPCC. The website gives more information and options than the poster. The poster and website is linked by both having pictures of children to give an idea of what the campaign is about. The picture on the poster is linked to the biggest picture on the website has they both show a child looking upset. The way the picture was taken as a long shot, showing an empty corridor can represent that he's neglected.  The use of using pictures of children show what their campaign is about as well.




Community campaigns


This community campaign is to persuade Baldock to agree to build a skate park. The method of this promotion is using social networking. The aim of this campaign is to get people to like the page and agree to the building of a skate park for the young people in the community. The target audience is mainly to young people as it would benefit them the most. I think this campaign is successful as a lot of people around Baldock talk about it and the target audience of this campaign is the younger generation and a lot of the younger generation use social networking sites including facebook.  The campaign specifically speak to its target audience by choosing the way they promote their campaign as i've already said that a lot of  that target audience use social networking sites. The main picture of the campaign is cartoon which attracts the eye of the target audience. The picture also shows what the campaign is about as it's a picture of skate boarding and cycling which links to the idea of buliding a skate park.
